What is a certified (sworn) translation?

This is a translation carried out by a translator who has sworn an oath or pledge before a court. Sworn translators certify documents to declare that they are true to the originals or copies of originals. A certified translation bears an official seal with the state emblem and must be signed and dated by a translator. Such translations are officially valid and can be used in courts, government and administrative institutions and other places in Poland.
